Timeline

The below is a timeline of the proposed multi-stakeholder consultation process. It outlines an initial phase Sept-Dec 2020 and the launch of the dialogue process from January 2021, running until COP26 in November 2021.

The multi-stakeholder dialogues process will feed into the government-to-government process through this draft process map and inform both a Collective Action Roadmap and Shared Principles

This diagram above provides a brief overview of various processes within the FACT Dialogue. The taskforce, thematic deep dives, collaboration portal, national and regional consultations - all avenues provide input to the Government-to-government track. The outputs from all of these conversations will be fed to the officials participating in the Government-to-Government discussions, so that multi-stakeholder actions may serve to inform government action when relevant.

The thematic deep dives are targeted discussions to provide focused feedback on the four FACT themes. These are being led by:

  • Trade and Market Development: UNDP and TFA
  • Transparency and Traceability: WRI
  • Smallholder Support: IDH
  • Research and Innovation: CGIAR
